Journey on the Moonbeams

My intentional Journey on the Moonbeams began when I was recently asked about changes in my business and how I have adapted during COVID-19. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling like I was coming up with things that people really wanted with Flavor Thyme. It was a struggle for many people to think about meal planning because all they could see was all the Pinterest stuff and that created overwhelm. While many people were starting to cook again, during COVID, they weren’t as interested in meal planning and prep.

I really enjoy creating things in the kitchen and being a Pampered Chef Consultant, I was not only making all the food and doing online parties, but I was also enjoying the food and moderation went out the window. Yes, I too gained the dreaded “Covid-19” and probably just a bit more. I’m still cooking, planning meals, and selling Pampered Chef and have found a healthier balance between making dinner and creating herbal products.

And then I wanted to leave this planet for another…

In 2020, we downsized, moved to a new state, and put some items in storage. One of the boxes contained recipes that my mom and I had created years ago when we had manifested this dream of an herbal product business. We created lotions, potions, soaps, body sprays, and more. We had so much fun designing and making all these beautiful products from herbs and let our imaginations wander with possibilities.

A few years back, my husband and I started talking about what we wanted for our future and having a few acres of land to raise chickens, have a garden, and live a more sustainable lifestyle. The more we talked, the more recipes would come to mind. I started creating even more in my head of, well, what would I make when we got to the farm.

And then I thought, well, why do I have to wait until I get to the farm? Why can’t I do it now?

Even though we’re renting a home now, it doesn’t mean I can’t at least get started. So, I’ve made a couple of things to test the market and have had so much fun.

I’ve put the idea out there and I’ve had people say, oh, I want that. Or I want this as a gift for somebody, or I’m running a program and I need gifts for my attendees.

People are asking, “Can you make this, that, and the other? And of course, I love working with cycles of the moon and astrology. Since I was a teenager, new age stuff has always interested me. I loved learning about Divination in cards, Runes, Numerology, and Astrology. I also loved herbs and flowers. This led me to get my degree in horticulture and work at the National Arboretum in Washington, DC. I was the assistant curator in The National Herb Garden and continued my herbalism studies throughout the years.

Later, when I became a massage therapist, I learned even more about healing energy work like Reiki. Reiki is a beautiful heart-centered technique that can activate the natural healing processes of the body to restore physical and emotional well-being.

I am having so much fun bringing all these experiences and education together to continue what my mother and I started manifesting so many years ago. It seems as if it is all just coming together in one fun container.
